VINES & FLORETS Release Day!

It’s the release day for the final book in the Blood, Bloom, & Water series. I’ve been working on this series since 2017, and it feels weird to be saying goodbye to all of the characters, but I feel like I’ve also given them the sendoff they deserve with this book.

https://amymcnulty.com/books/vines-florets-blood-bloom-water-book-5/

A traumatized former faery champion. The beguiling former faery prince who manipulated her once before. A chance to correct the past mistakes that haunt her as the battle between blood, bloom, and water fades into memory.

Autumn Sheppard could once grow vines from her hands, but if she shared that with anyone, they’d think she was delusional. She’s spent the past ten years suppressing the nightmare of her actions during the battle between faeries, vampires, and mermaids, even as her older sister and step-sister moved on with their lives.

When Orin, the conniving faery prince, asks for her help, she wants to run, but he’s the only one who still has faith that she can make things right. Tasked with finding a fallen angel, Autumn discovers the hottest boy in school is exactly the guy she needs on her side. If only he could see past her geeky, outcast personality—and believe that magic is real.

The fifth and final book in the Blood, Bloom, & Water series takes the story ten years into the future, when the former champion of bloom is the only hope for the resurrection of lost friends and foes alike. With the help of a fallen angel, she might succeed—even if her wish comes with fatal consequences.

If you’re new to the series, you can also save money and buy the digital box set to get ALL FIVE books in one convenient bundle!

Ballad of the Beanstalk Heads to Snowy Wings Publishing!

I’m excited to announce my YA fairy tale fantasy book, Ballad of the Beanstalk, will now be published with Snowy Wings Publishing! This book is available widely.

A Library Journal Self-e Selection.

As her fingers move across the strings of her family’s heirloom harp, sixteen-year-old Clarion can forget. She doesn’t dwell on the recent passing of her beloved father or the fact that her mother has just sold everything they owned, including that very same instrument that gives Clarion life. She doesn’t think about how her friends treat her like a feeble, brittle thing to be protected. She doesn’t worry about how to tell the elegant Elena, her best friend and first love, that she doesn’t want to be her sweetheart anymore. She becomes the melody and loses herself in the song.

When Mack, a lord’s dashing young son, rides into town so his father and Elena’s can arrange a marriage between the two youth, Clarion finds herself falling in love with a boy for the first time. Drawn to Clarion’s music, Mack puts Clarion and Elena’s relationship to the test, but he soon vanishes by climbing up a giant beanstalk that only Clarion has seen. When even the town witch won’t help, Clarion is determined to rescue Mack herself and prove once and for all that she doesn’t need protecting. But while she fancied herself a savior, she couldn’t have imagined the enormous world of danger that awaits her in the kingdom of the clouds.

A prequel to the fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk that reveals the true story behind the magical singing harp.

Fans of Rosamund Hodge, Marissa Meyer, Jenni James, and Sarah J. Maas will enjoy this original faerie tale retelling fantasy in the vein of stories like Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, and The Little Mermaid.

Broomsticks and Board Games (A Spooky Games Club Mystery #1)

Dahlia Poplar is a genuine witch, an unofficial gofer, and Luna Lane’s only cursed resident.

With a werewolf best friend, a vampire ex-boyfriend, and a ghost for a hanger-on, Dahlia is far from the most unusual dweller of her sleepy small town, but she’s the only one unable to leave. Dahlia has to perform at least one good deed per day—or she’s one step closer to turning to stone.

Fortunately, the residents of Luna Lane have plenty of tasks for Dahlia to complete to avert the curse until Cable Woodward, fetching professor and nephew of her elderly neighbor, stops by for the semester on sabbatical. Attempting to help Cable’s uncle work through the trauma of losing his wife, Dahlia uncovers the man’s collection of board games, which leads to him reminiscing about the long-forgotten Luna Lane Games Club.

Dahlia reestablishes Games Club, only to find evidence of a number of horrible demises connected to the original group. While trying to uncover the truth about the deaths, Dahlia has to fight off her curse, protect her elderly neighbor from becoming the next victim, and most vexing of all, keep Cable from figuring out Luna Lane’s supernatural secrets. Only with eerie board games like these, there may not be a loser—or even a winner—who survives.

Early reviews say:
This book has a very interesting storyline. Plus there’s lots of action. The cast of characters is quite intriguing. I loved Dahlia’s broomstick ‘Broomie,’ who was like a pet who loved to eat cornhusks. Such a different take on magic broomsticks. The mystery is solved but what will happen in the next book is the question. I can’t wait to find out.”
“This one really held my interest. A mystery revolving around a board game club was a fun idea. And I really like Broomie, the author’s unique take on a witch’s broomstick.”
Dahlia‘s personality is contagious, and her relationship with her vampire ex-boyfriend and ghost-in-resident a source of never-ending entertainment, and Broomie (the broomstick) is a real highlight.”
My favorite character was ‘Broomie’. Dahlia’s broomstick. Broomie is a character in her own right who acts like a pet and eats cornhusks. It is a fun, light paranormal cozy.”
Broomie says, “Thank you!” for all the warm reviews.
